Tau Cross Pendants

The Tau cross in Christianity is a symbol of life, resurrection, reincarnation, and blood sacrifice.  The cross shape dates back to the beginning of Christianity but is most referenced by Saint Francis who popularized the cross by having his monastic robes made in the shape of a Tau cross so that when the arms of the one wearing it are outstretched to the sides, it roughly creates an image of the Tau Cross.

The Cross of Tau is also referred to as:
St. Anthony's Cross, Old Testament Cross, Anticipatory Cross, Cross Commissee, Egyptian Cross,  Advent Cross, Saint Francis's Cross, and Crux Commissa.
