I placed the statue on top of a tall bookcase, but, unfortunately, He constantly looked like a sitting champagne-colored poodle, with dark brown ears. His raised hand blended into my yellow wall, and the two rays became its front legs. That won't do! I painted His toga pure white — like the Apostles saw Him on Mount Tabor — and darkened the two rays, adding a shimmer to them. Now He looks like My Jesus!”
