Rosa Mystica Statues
Do you know what the Rosa Mystica, or the Mystical Rose, represents?
These Rosa Mystica statues are so because Mary has often been associated with the rose, as the “perfect flower.” Mary gave roses to Juan Diego during winter. She is called the Rose of Sharon in the Bible and the Incarnate Rose. In 1947 a nurse working in northern Italy reported seeing the Blessed Mother in a room of the hospital, wearing a hooded mantle and three roses. She called for a renewal of vocations. The three roses symbolize repentance, prayer and fasting.
