St. Francis and St. Clare Medal

The level of detail and depth of the images are outstanding. The soft patina of the metal is lovely and the design is clear with a lot of visual appeal.

This medallion is wonderful and rather unique in that I have not seen Francis and Clare depicted together elsewhere on a medallion. My Community (Community of Francis and Clare) has adopted this medal as a gift for our new Postulants, so more of these will be purchased in due course.

I bought this as a gift for my favorite author who happens to be Catholic. Two of the main characters in the book are name Frank and Claire so I thought maybe she had named them after Francis and Clare. I had the good fortune of meeting her and gave her this beautiful medal. I told her why I was giving to her. She smiled and when I asked her if she named the characters after these two saints she said "maybe". I may never know but she certainly seemed to like the gift. I thought it was pretty special myself. I have never seen a medal with both Francis and Clare on it. I thought it was lovely.

The medallions and chains were beautiful, and will be much appreciated. Even better than the picture on line. Did not receive the gift box.
