Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Sacred Heart of Jesus Brown Felt Scapular

'Whosoever Dies in This Garment Shall Not Suffer Eternal Fire' - Promise of Our Lady to St. Simon Stock, July 16, 1251 -

In the year 1251, in the town Aylesford England, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel appeared to St. Simon Stock, who was a Carmelite monk. She handed him a brown scapular, made of wool, and said, 'This shall be a privilege for you and all Carmelites, that whoever dies wearing this garment shall not suffer eternal fire.' Eventually, the Church extended this magnificent privilege to all of the laity who are willing to be invested in the Brown Scapular of the Carmelites and commit to wear it perpetually.

Made of brown wool felt, one side has the image of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, and the other side as the image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
