About the Authors
Jim Burnham
As Director of San Juan Catholic Seminars, Jim Burnham has given hundreds of seminars to teach Catholics how to charitably and effectively defend their faith. He is the co-author of more than ten publications, including the popular Beginning Apologetics series and Christian Fatherhood: The Eight Commitments of St. Joseph Covenent Keepers with Steve Wood. Jim has been a guest on the radio program Catholic Answers.
Jim is a cradle-Catholic evangelist, the second oldest of ten children. He graduated as valedictorian from Hillsdale College in 1989 with a degree in philosophy. Later he attended Thomas Aquinas College where he met his wife, Lisa. They have been married since 1992 and have six children.
Father Frank Chacon
Father Charcon began his studies for the priesthood in 1985. Prior to entering the seminary, he was an Air Force flight surgeon. Father Chacon trained at Holy Apostles Seminary in Cromwell, Connecticut, and is grateful for the outstanding spiritual and theological formation he received there.
Father Chacon was ordained as a Roman Catholic priest for the Diocese of Gallup, New Mexico on May 13, 1989, by Bishop Jerome Hastrich. While a newly ordained priest, Father recognized the critical need for good, basic Catholic apologetics. He and Jim Burnham, founder of San Juan Catholic Seminars, decided to collaborate and produce "user-friendly" Catholic apologetics materials.
