Byzantine Wood Crucifix with Alabaster Corpus

There was some chipping around the nail in the left hand of the Corpus; however, it was so minor, and seemed more trouble than it was worth to send it back for replacement. We have had our beautiful new crucifix blessed and it is hanging in our front room. I looked for a very long time for the right crucifix for this room, and this came the closest to what I was looking for - I would have liked the wood of the cross to have extended a little bit longer below the feet of the Corpus. Overall, we are very pleased with our new crucifix! Thank you! God's peace to you.
