I looked so hard and so long to find a nativity set that looked authentic. I wanted a nativity set that felt artisan made and not mass merchandised in China. I felt like this set was somewhere in the middle. It was expensive and it was a wedding present so it meant a lot too me. The way it was packaged upon arrival definitely felt mass merchandised.
