St. Alice is the patron saint of the blind and the paralyzed. Her story is one of great suffering and of great love for God and for others. After contracting leprosy, she was isolated from those she loved and cared for. She eventually went blind and soon after that became paralyzed. She lived out her days at the convent and her belief solid that the Lord would bring her comfort and into the comfort of heaven.
