The back of the cross has the words 'Go, Repair My Church' - the very words Jesus spoke to Saint Francis of Assisi. On the front, the design is both detailed and profoundly meaningful. Inspired by Jesus? ultimate act of love, the San Damiano Garden crucifix is a replica of the large Romanesque rood cross before which St. Francis of Assisi was praying when he is said to have received the commission from the Lord to rebuild the Church. Comes packaged in a signature gift box.
