BEST SELLING SAINT ROSALIA PENDANT
Like many of our beloved saints, Saint Rosalia was in the world but not of the world. Medals of solitary saints, such as a quality Saint Rosalia medal necklace, act as tiny reminders during our busy daily routines to preserve time for our Lord.
Although born into a royal lineage, as a young adult, this descendant of Charlemagne took her leave from earthly comforts and decided to live in a cave not far from her parents' home for the remainder of her life. She scrawled her story on the cave wall: "I, Rosalia, daughter of Sinibald, Lord of Roses and Quisquina, have taken the resolution to live in this cave for the love of my Lord, Jesus Christ." Her deceased body was found years later during a plague outbreak in the nearby town of Palermo. When townspeople walked with her remains through the city, three days later, the plague disappeared from Palermo.
St. Rosalia is the patroness of Palermo, Italy, and her feast day is September 4.
