St. Amelia was born into a devout Christian family in what is now called Luxembourg. At a young age, Amelia knew she wanted to be a nun and prepared herself for convent life and her complete devotion to Christ.
St. Amelia’s beauty was well known and even King Charlemagne pursued her with vigor. It is said that he mistakenly broke her arm and it miraculously healed within hours.
St. Amelia went on to build a church and is noted for many miracles.
