Saint Catherine of Alexandria is also known as Saint Catherine of Egypt, Saint Catherine of the Wheel and the Great Martyr Saint.
Saint Catherine of Alexandria converted to Christianity at age 14. She was the daughter of wealthy parents and was known for her intellect and scholarly work at a very young age.
She inspired Saint Joan of Arc as she was very devoted to Christ and was martyred by Emperor Maxentius at the age of 18.
Before her death, Saint Catherine converted hundreds of people to Christianity. She is the patron saint of students and the patron saint of unmarried girls.
Her feast day is November 25th.
