Saint Agnes Rosaries

Saint Agnes of Rome

A Saint Agnes rosary remembers in our devotions that she was a young and courageous virgin and martyr. She was born the daughter of a wealthy Christian family but her wealth could not stop her from being prosecuted by the Roman emperor Diocletain. At only thirteen she was brought to court for not accepting the proposals of Roman men. She steadfastly held onto her desire to save herself only for Christ. The Emperor sent St. Agnes to a house of prostitution and was put to death in Rome by sword. At her place of death a Shrine was built. St. Agnes is the patron saint of girls, rape victims, virgins, chastity, crops and gardeners.
