Saint Barbara Bracelet

Many people purchase a St. Barbara bracelet as their confirmation saint name, their patron saint namesake, or because they want protection from St. Barbara's intercession. St. Barbara was a martyr and a virgin who was brutally murdered by her father when she proclaimed her Christian faith.

It is said that her father died soon after killing his daughter by a lightning strike. St. Barbara is prayed to for protection from sudden blasts or explosions such as; bomb experts, those that work with artillery, military engineers, and miners.

Her feast day is December 4th.
