Saint Jason, Saint Paul, and Silas evangelized in Thessalonica, Greece. He was known for converting many Jewish people and pagans to Christianity.
There are legends that state he converted two prisoners into wolves. Another holds that he was martyred by wild animals hence the lion portrayed on this medal.
Saint Jason traveled to Corfu where a famous church was built and is very important in the Orthodox Church.
His feast day in the Roman Catholic Church is July 12th and April 29th in the Greek Orthodox Church.
