Does someone in your life love to joke or have an infectious laugh? Treat that woman to a Saint Sarah rosary!
Sarah, the first Old Testament matriarch and wife of Abraham, received news that would astonish any woman. At age 90, after a lifetime of barrenness, she received a revelation from angels that she would finally bear a son. She laughed at such a preposterous notion. Lo and behold, she and Abraham, in their elderly age, conceived Isaac, and the rest is history, of course! After delivering her only son Isaac (which translates to "laughter"), Sarah laughed again, this time with sheer joy. Sarah is a model of faith in God's word and joy at receiving His generous blessings.
St. Sarah's feast day is May 24, and she is the patron saint of laughter.
